Your booking agreement with 4Drive Slovenia

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the 4Drive Slovenia booking platform and the rental services arranged through our website. By completing a booking, you accept these terms in full. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your reservation.
4Drive Slovenia operates an online booking platform that connects customers with local rental companies across Slovenia. We facilitate reservations and process advance payments on behalf of these providers. The actual rental agreement is a separate contract between you and the rental company that supplies the vehicle.
These terms apply to the booking process and our role as booking service. Additional terms from the rental company will apply to the vehicle use, insurance coverage, damage liability, and other operational matters. Those terms are provided in your booking voucher and must be reviewed before you collect the vehicle.
Our service covers vehicle reservations at locations including Ljubljana, Maribor, Koper, and Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport. Each booking is confirmed via email with a voucher containing collection details and rental company contact information.
When you complete a booking through our website, you receive a confirmation voucher. This voucher is not the rental agreement itself. The binding rental contract is signed when you collect the vehicle from the rental company's representative, whether at an airport desk, city office, or hotel delivery point.
The rental agreement will specify the vehicle condition, fuel policy, mileage limits if applicable, insurance details, excess amounts, and rules of use. Any pre-existing damage is documented in this agreement at handover. You should inspect the vehicle thoroughly and ensure all damage is recorded before departure.
Collection time is chosen during the booking process. The voucher includes the rental company's contact details for any queries or changes. Late arrival or failure to collect the vehicle may result in cancellation and forfeiture of payments, subject to the rental company's policy.
A booking advance is required at the time of reservation and must be paid online by debit or credit card. We do not accept cash payments for online bookings. This advance secures your reservation and is processed immediately through our payment system.
The remaining balance is due when you collect the vehicle. The accepted payment methods for this balance depend on the specific vehicle you have booked and are clearly stated in your voucher. Options may include debit card, credit card, or cash. Requirements vary by vehicle, not by class or category.
If the balance requires a card payment and you do not hold a credit card, consider increasing the limit on your debit card before travel. Check your voucher carefully to understand what payment methods the rental company will accept at collection.
A security deposit is a separate requirement managed by the rental company at vehicle handover. The amount and method are determined by the specific vehicle you have reserved and are detailed in your booking voucher. This deposit is typically a temporary hold on your card, not a charge.
Deposit requirements are independent of insurance coverage or excess amounts. Even with comprehensive damage coverage, a deposit may still apply. The rental company releases this hold after the vehicle is returned and inspected, provided there are no damages, traffic fines, or fuel shortages.
Ensure your card has sufficient available credit or limit to cover both the balance payment and the deposit hold. If you have questions about deposit conditions for your specific booking, contact us before your collection date.
The primary driver must present a valid driving licence at collection. Foreign licences are accepted, though an International Driving Permit is recommended for non-EU licences. The licence must have been held for the minimum period specified in your voucher, typically one or two years depending on the vehicle.
Additional drivers can be added for a fee at the rental desk. Each additional driver must meet the same licence and age requirements as the primary driver and must be present at collection to sign the rental agreement.
You must also present a valid passport or national ID card and the payment card used for the booking advance or voucher reference. Failure to provide the required documents will result in refusal of the vehicle with no refund.
Vehicles must be driven in accordance with local traffic laws. Speed limits in Slovenia are 50 km/h in urban areas, 90 km/h on open roads, 110 km/h on expressways, and 130 km/h on motorways. Right-hand traffic applies. A vignette sticker is required for all motorway and expressway use and can be added to your booking or purchased separately.
Cross-border travel to Austria, Italy, Croatia, and Hungary is permitted with most vehicles, provided you notify us in advance and obtain written authorization from the rental company. This permission document is essential and must be carried in the vehicle. Travel to other countries may be restricted or prohibited.
Winter tyres are mandatory in mountain areas from November to March and are included in seasonal bookings. Vehicles must not be used for motorsport, off-road driving outside designated routes, towing, or any illegal activity. Gravel roads and mountain passes are accessible with suitable vehicles such as AWD or 4WD models.
Changes to your booking, including dates, collection location, or vehicle type, are subject to availability and may incur fees. Contact us as soon as possible via [email protected] to request modifications. Changes made within a short period before collection may not be possible.
Cancellation terms depend on how far in advance you cancel. Early cancellations typically allow partial or full refunds, while late cancellations may result in forfeiture of the advance payment. Specific cancellation conditions are provided at the time of booking and in your confirmation email.
No-shows or failure to collect the vehicle without prior notice result in full cancellation with no refund. If you need to cancel or modify, notify us immediately through the contact details provided in your voucher.
4Drive Slovenia is responsible for providing accurate booking information and processing your reservation. We are not liable for the condition of the vehicle, the conduct of the rental company, or incidents that occur during your rental period. Those matters are governed by your rental agreement with the supplier.
We do not provide insurance coverage. Insurance and damage liability are arranged by the rental company and detailed in your rental contract. You are responsible for any damage, theft, fines, or fees incurred during the rental, subject to the terms of your rental agreement and selected coverage options.
We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or service interruptions caused by force majeure, including severe weather, strikes, or natural disasters. In such cases, we will assist with rebooking or refunds where possible, but cannot guarantee alternative arrangements.
If you experience issues with the vehicle or service at collection, contact the rental company directly using the details provided in your voucher. They are best placed to resolve operational matters immediately. Document any problems with photos and written notes.

Our office is located at Center, Ljubljana, Slovenia, and we are available Monday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (GMT+1). We take all feedback seriously and use it to improve our service quality.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Slovenia. Any disputes arising from your booking or use of our platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Slovenia. This applies to all users regardless of their country of residence.
The rental agreement you sign with the local rental company is also governed by Slovenian law and the specific terms set by that provider. Both agreements operate independently but are complementary in defining your rights and obligations.
By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and that you will comply with the rental agreement provided at vehicle collection.
