Picked up a Toyota RAV4 at Ljubljana airport and drove to Lake Bled, Postojna Cave, and down to Piran on the coast. The vehicle was spotless, the handover took less than fifteen minutes, and everything was as described in the voucher. The company even provided a map with recommended routes through the Julian Alps. Winter tyres were already fitted when I collected in February. Returned without any issues.
Booked a Volkswagen Golf for a week in Ljubljana. The booking advance was straightforward, and I paid the remainder with a debit card on collection. The staff walked me through the rental agreement and marked every existing scratch on the diagram. Drove to Maribor, Ptuj, and back through the wine regions. Rented a Renault Clio in Koper for a coastal adventure. Drove south to Portoroz, Izola, and then inland to the Skocjan Caves. The compact size was perfect for narrow village streets and parking near the old town. The rental company delivered the car to my hotel, which saved time on the first morning. Returned at the office in Koper with no complications whatsoever.
Picked up a Dacia Duster at LJU and headed straight to the mountains. The clearance and four-wheel drive were ideal for the gravel roads leading to Vrsic Pass and Triglav National Park. Fuel was easy to find at OMV and Petrol stations along the way. The vehicle performed flawlessly on steep inclines and hairpin bends. Would book again without hesitation for another alpine trip.
Reserved a Ford Focus in Ljubljana and drove around the central region. Everything went smoothly except I had not realised the vignette for motorways was not included in the base price, so I purchased it separately at a petrol station. The car itself was in great condition, the handover was professional, and the return process was efficient. Just a small detail to be aware of when budgeting for the trip.
Booked a Peugeot 308 for a September tour from Ljubljana to Lake Bohinj, Kranjska Gora, and back via the Loibl Pass. The weather was perfect, fewer tourists than in peak summer, and the vehicle handled beautifully on winding alpine roads.
