We handle the search and reservation process, allowing you to compare vehicles, see upfront requirements, and secure your booking with an online advance payment. The rental itself is provided by established local operators who manage their own fleets and handle vehicle handover, contracts, and support during your hire period.
Our platform focuses on transparency. Every listing shows the payment method accepted for the balance, whether a deposit is required, and what documents you need at collection. No hidden steps, no surprises when you arrive. Each booking results in a voucher containing the local company's contact details, pickup instructions, and your reservation reference.
The booking process is straightforward. You enter your dates and pickup location - Ljubljana, Maribor, Koper, or Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport - and browse available vehicles. Each listing specifies the vehicle type, transmission, fuel policy, and payment requirements for the remaining balance at pickup.
Once you select a vehicle, you pay a booking advance online by card. This secures your reservation and is deducted from the total rental cost. The remaining balance is paid when you collect the vehicle, using the payment method indicated in your booking confirmation - this could be debit card, cash, or credit card, depending on the specific vehicle and operator.
After payment, you receive a voucher by email. This document contains the local rental company's name, address, contact details, and your reservation reference. On your chosen pickup date and time, you present the voucher at the operator's desk or meeting point, sign the rental agreement, complete the vehicle inspection, and drive away. The rental agreement is between you and the local company, who also handle any questions or issues during your rental.
We work with local rental companies in four key locations across Slovenia. Ljubljana, the capital, serves as the main hub with both city centre and airport pickup options. Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport sits 26 km north of the city centre via highway H2, offering the most convenient entry point for international arrivals.
Maribor in the northeast provides access to the wine regions and the Austrian border, 130 km from Ljubljana. Koper on the Adriatic coast connects you to the short but scenic Slovenian coastline, Piran, and the Italian border crossing to Trieste. All locations offer delivery to hotels or meeting points, depending on the operator's service area.
Many of the vehicles available through our platform are offered with no deposit required at pickup. This means the local rental company does not block funds on your card as a security hold. You still remain responsible for any damage or traffic fines under the rental agreement's excess amount, but no authorization hold is placed on your card at the counter.
This is a separate parameter from insurance or damage cover. The rental includes standard insurance with an excess, and optional extra cover is available to reduce that excess if you wish. The absence of a deposit simply removes the temporary card hold - it does not change your liability or the vehicle's insurance structure. Listings clearly state whether a deposit is required, and those without this requirement are popular with drivers using debit cards or preferring not to have funds blocked during the rental period.
